Incorporated in 2006, the Fox Lake Association (FLA) continues the work
of the Fox Lake Cottagers’ Association founded over fifty years ago.
Membership is open to all property owners who own property on the lake and/or its access roads. The lake is defined as the area between the flood control dams on the Buck River at the Campbell Dam and the Fox's tail at the Hoodstown Dam.
The Association is managed by a seven person Board of Directors elected from its members. Directors serve two years and are assisted by Officers of the corporation, appointed by the Board, who serve at its leisure. The Board meets as often as necessary.
Membership dues are set each year at our Annual General Meeting. The Association's fiscal year runs from May 1st to April 30th.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is usually held in mid-July. Property owners can designate any individual to represent them at the AGM by way of a proxy.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The Association’s formal goals are:
To be a forum to allow discussion amongst property owners on Fox Lake with regard to matters of mutual interest, related primarily to the quality of the environment at Fox Lake and the enjoyment of their properties to the fullest extent.
To be a vehicle to allow the property owners to present a common position before government bodies, to have communications with other associations of similar purpose, and with public or private organizations.
To promote the development of the Fox Lake Community through the sponsorship of regular events.
