A brief note from 2026 Biomonitoring Technician
Hi everyone,
As my summer with the District comes to an end, I wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make this season of benthic monitoring so enjoyable!
I have truly loved getting to visit so many lakes, meet so many wonderful people, and see how much you all care about the health of your lakes and the surrounding environment. Your enthusiasm, help, and willingness to spend your time out sampling with me made my summer so much fun, and I am incredibly grateful for all of your support.
I also wanted to mention that I likely will not be returning as the Biological Monitoring Technician next summer. To make sure you are able to get your preferred sampling dates, I would recommend reaching out to this email in early May to connect with next year’s Biotech and get your sampling days booked in.
Lastly, if anyone has photos from our sampling days or events this summer that you would be comfortable sharing with me, I would greatly appreciate it! I would love to keep some memories from the summer and, where appropriate, share a few photos from the amazing events and sampling days I was lucky enough to be part of.
Thank you again for welcoming me to your lakes and communities and for making the past two summers such a great experience. It has been wonderful getting to know so many of you, and I hope our paths cross again in the future!
