Fox Lake Association Incorporated. Notice of 2010 Annual General Meeting

Take notice that the annual meeting of the members of The Fox Lake Association (FLA) will be held at the residence of, Bernie and Gabrielle Andersen, 698 East Fox Lake Road, Huntsville Ontario on Saturday July 17, 2010 at 10:00 am. 

 Agenda

  1. Welcome –additions to agenda- motion to adopt agenda. (5 min)
  2. To review 2009 AGM minutes and discuss any issues arising from the 2009 minutes. (5 min)
  3. To review the audited financial statements of the corporation. (10 min)
  4. To receive the annual report of the President of the Association. (5 min)   
  5. To elect new directors to the Fox Lake Association Inc Board.
  6. To receive status reports on the following matters/committees:
  • Camp Winnabagoe and Camp Romuva reports and complaint resolution (15 min)
  • Membership update and Newsletter – (Elaine Jackson) (10 min)
  • FLA partnerships –FOCA, (Federation of Ontario Cottagers Association), Muskoka Watershed Council - Jim Watson/ Elaine, HLC (Huntsville Lakes Council) representative (Ellen Fox)
  • Lake Stewardship –David White
  • Social Events –Rib Fest (Karen Beamer), Regatta and Corn Roast (Robin Yule)
  • Website update (Jim)
  1. To address other issues that FLA members would like to place before the meeting.
  • Lake Plan Priorities. (20 min)
  • Other
  1. To set the date and location for the 2010 AGM.

*Members are asked to contact Jim Watson (416) 255-1481, (705- 789-3016) or Elaine Jackson (705) 789-2831 if there are specific matters that they would like to be addressed at the meeting.

Voting is restricted to members in good standing of the Association as of April 30, 2010. Proxies will be distributed to all members in good standing and we recommend you appoint a proxy if you are unable to attend the meeting. Membership is open to all property owners on Fox Lake. Residents of the lake and its environs, their family and friends are welcome to attend and participate in the meeting. Memberships in the association for the year 2010/2011 will be available.  Annual dues are $40.00.
